Continuing our theme of Library Lovers' Lunches we are delighted to present New York Times bestselling author, Keri Arthur.
Keri started her writing career at age twelve when dissatisfied with a story ending she rewrote it to her satisfaction. From that day on she has been writing, although for many years it was a hobby. Her writing genre has moved from pure fantasy to paranormal romance and it is here that she excels, her Riley Jensen Guardian series has featured on the New York Times Bestseller list. Now the author of twenty five books Keri has won the Romantic Times Lifetime Achievement Award for her fiction. Keri has several books awaiting publication with two to be released in 2011.
Please join us for lunch.

Meet celebrated romance author Stephanie Laurens at the Library Lovers' Lunch on Monday
It is with great pleasure that we invite you to join us for a special Valentine's Day lunch with celebrated romance author Stephanie Laurens.
Stephanie migrated from Sri Lanka to Australia at age five, and after completing her education in Melbourne travelled the world before spending some years in London. Her chosen career as a scientist in cancer research was both demanding and successful. Regency romances had always been a means of escape from her teen years as a reader of Georgette Heyer. The need to find a Regency romance she had not read led Stephanie to write her own romance novel which was published by Mills and Boon in 1992.
Many books later and now a full time author Stephanie is on the US best seller lists and loved by readers across the globe.
Stephanie's books will be available for sales and signing.
When: Monday 14th February 12:30pm
Where: Knox Civic Centre, 511 Burwood Highway, Wantirna South
Cost: $10 includes lunch
Bookings essential phone 92948140 or book online - Stephanie Laurens

For lovers of ghost stories, Peter Ackroyd's latest book The English Ghost, will send a chill up your spine. The Story of England by Michael Wood looks at the history of England from Roman times to the 20th century through one village in the heart of England. Following the Detectives edited by Maxim Jakubowski looks at the real life cities where fictional detectives live and work. Chapters on Inspector Morse's Oxford, V I Warshawski's Chicago and Rebus's Edinburgh are illustrated with maps and photos so you can visualise your favourite detectives at work. Three new book on WWI take a different angle on the conflict. Six Weeks by John Lewis-Stempel, Digging up Plugstreet by Martin Brown and Richard Osgood, and Strange Meetings by Harry Ricketts.
Music this week was from Welsh bass-baritone Bryn Terfel.
