First meeting of Gully Gardeners & Growville Growers this week

Two of our gadening groups start back this week with meetings of the Gully Gardeners and Growville Growers.

Gully Gardeners

Lee Morris is our local permaculture expert. Lee will be talking about her adventures in the last few years in Upper Ferntree Gully and northern Victoria. Afternoon tea will be in the shady surrounds of Coonara House.

Growville Growers - Ripponlea Gardens

Phil Tulk, National Trust of Victoria's head gardener, is coming to Rowville Library to take us on a virtual journey of discovery around the many varied and beautiful gardens that can be found at Ripponlea. All welcome.

A small number of free passes to Ripponlea will be awarded on the day.

Gully Gardeners - visit Australian Garden at Royal Botanic Gardens, Cranbourne.

October's Gully Gardeners will be a bus trip to Australian Garden at Royal Botanic Gardens Cranbourne. BYO lunch or enjoy a meal at the Boonerwurrung Café, with enticing views over the Australian Garden.  Approximate time of arrival back at Coonara House is 3.30pm.

Gully Gardeners - Learn to create a 'No Dig Garden'

Meryl from Pakenham Garden Club will demonstrate how to create a no dig garden.  No dig gardening or a raised garden bed, consists of layering organic materials on top of the soil to create a nutrient rich environments for your plants.
