Peter Klein commenced work in the racing industry at age 16, and worked as a strapper with some of the best known names in Australia, both human and equine. However he may have also been destined to become a writer, his mother Robin Klein is one of Australia’s best loved and most awarded authors.
His first book the autobiographical A Strapper’s Tale (2004) was very well received, and was followed in 2007 by his first novel Punter’s Luck. Peter is still connected to the turf as the racing manager for Australian Associated Press, his second novel Punter’s Turf was published by Pan Macmillan in 2009.
