It's Library Week! #LIW2011 Do you know someone that's not a member? Do they like scary movies?

To celebrate Library Week 2011 we're running a couple of promotions in the Belgrave area.

When: Tuesday and Wednesday morning 7-8am
Where: Belgrave Railway Station, Belgrave

Library staff will be at Belgrave Railway station handing out free library bags and copies of Good Reading magazine. On Wednesday they'll be handing out free cupcakes too, to support the Biggest Morning Tea.

We're having a membership drive in the Belgrave area. Six traders in Main Street are displaying special yellow library membership forms -

Earthly Pleasures, Green Bean Cafe, Puffing Billy Cafe, Belgrave Book Barn, Through the looking glass secondhand books, Belgrave Pharmacy

1. Fill out one of the yellow membership forms
2. Hand into Belgrave Library this week and you'll receive a movie ticket to the Cameo cinema in Belgrave (not just for scary movies either).

Literary Lunch with Toni Jordan

Toni Jordan's first book Addition (2008) was published to critical acclaim and the publication rights have been sold around the world. Her second book Fall Girl (2010) has received similar positive responses. Please join us for an entertaining lunch.

New 3 month temporary memberships with access to online resources and holds

Eastern Regional Libraries is now offering a 3-month membership to the library service. Members get a temporary user ID and PIN, get instant access to the online resources and can place holds on titles in our collection. To receive a permanent library membership the person will need to visit a library to show current identification and receive their library card.

Current library members already have access to our online resources, including Britannica, ANZ Reference Centre, NovelistPLUS and Road to IELTS.

Winners of the May membership drive prize draw

Membership drive at Eastland today

If you happen to be down at Eastland today, stop by the Eastern Regional Libraries membership stand just outside Footlocker on the 2nd level. Rowanne & Liz are handing out library cards and membership application forms to complete and people present both to any ERL branch where the card will be activated.

All members that join in May will go into the draw to win a Nintendo Wii, so if you know someone that isn't a member encourage them to join.

Rowanne and Liz will be visiting several shopping centres this month.
