Born in New Orleans and now resident in Melbourne, Kevin Rabalais first attracted attention in his home country with Novel Voices published in 2003. Having read the story of the Burke and Wills expedition Kevin decided to relocate to Australia and write a work of fiction based on the story. After four years Landscape of Desire is the result, a wonderful lyrical novel. An excellent speaker with a superb knowledge of literature this will be a talk not to be missed.
