Are we safer in the air than on the road? Meet aviation expert and author Macarthur Job OAM

Macarthur Job has spent his working life in the aviation industry, firstly as a pilot, then with the Department of Civil Aviation as Senior Inspector of Aircraft Safety, and finally as the author of numerous books and articles on the subject of aircraft safety.

His book Disaster in the Dandenongs published in 2008 deals with the fatal Kyeema air crash on 25th October 1938, 72 years ago.

A former managing editor of the prestigious industry journal Aircraft, Mac Job was awarded an OAM in 2003 "for services to the promotion of aviation safety".
