Before the Australian bushranger was the highwayman. Roaming the roads of Britain and Europe preying on innocent travellers, many accquired a romantic image and have been celebrated in story, song and film. Historian Adrian Puckering will introduce some of the best known 'gentlemen of the roads' in this fascinating presentation.
