Catherine Bateson is an award-winning poet and writer for younger readers and young adults. The Wish Pony, her latest book for younger readers was recently awarded an Honour book in the Children's Book Council of Australia Book of the Year Awards. Marriage for Beginners, her third collection of poetry has just been published by John Leonard Press. Catherine has also taught Professional Writing and Editing at TAFE colleges for the last seven years.
