Healesville Primary School students learned stop motion animation

Eastern Regional Libraries were the recipients of a State Government grant offered to libraries in the bushfire affected areas. We used our grant to organise an animation workshop for Year 5 kids from Healesville Primary School.

Gregg Brown from Play Animation sent us a note with a link to the final results. The kids did an amazing job.

Bring a Graphic Novel to Life - Animation Workshop

Move over Wallace and Gromit! Knox Youth Services and Eastern Regional Libraries invite young people 10-25 to participate in a free hands-on animation workshop with Gregg Brown from Playanimation. You will learn skills including: animation principles, character and set design and filming.

You will get free food and a free DVD of the final animation.

When: Saturday 11th July 10am-2pm

Bring a graphic novel to life

We had to cancel the Rowville animation workshop due to lack of numbers, however the Saturday Boronia session is booking out fast. There's only 2 places left, so book now!

You will be working with Gregg Brown from Playanimation and you will learn skills including:

• animation principles
• character & set design
• filming.

The hands-on workshops are for young people 10 – 25 years who live, work, study or recreate within the City of Knox. There will be free food and everyone will get a DVD of the final animation.
