Photography Focus - Ron Silvester - Spectacular photos with quirky results

Ron Silvester is a man who actively enjoys taking spectacular photographs with quirky results. He'll attempt to answer the questions "can you take a photograph that will achieve high level of interest from the viewer" and "is post processing of images necessary".

Come along and enjoy this unique session plus view some of the photographs taken on the annual Gully Gardeners' bus trip to Karen Meeuwissen's garden at Hoddles Creek last October.

Photography Focus - travelling the Trans-Siberian Railway

Jim Reid has travelled extensively throughout the world. One of his favourite holidays was on the Trans-Siberian Railway. This train connects Moscow to the Sea of Japan - the longest railway in the world.

Barbara Oehring is a local photographer who strives to create images that have a sense of mystery. Her photographs have been used for various print publications, including our local Ferntree Gully News, websites,and in electronic format for educational purposes. She also creates and prints high quality greeting cards.

Mark Westaway from Gumboot Graphics will speak tomorrow at Ferntree Gully library

I've just been notified of a few changes to the Photography Focus schedule. Tomorrow's guest will be Mark Westaway from Gumboot Graphics. Mark's images communicate fun, shape, colour and intrigue in a range of disciplines and media.

Graphic design, screen printing, photography and painting are used to create ideas that are inspired by nature and the imagination.
