15th Yarra Junction Library Bird Walk

Join Ken Simpson for a nice slow morning walk on the main track at Warramate Hills Flora and Fauna Reserve. Meet in Yarraloch Way outside gate into reserve. Melway: 285 G1. Ah, fond memories of university field trips. I'm sure you'll have a great time.

Getting there: Drive on Warburton Hwy, turn into Sunnyside Rd Mel: 285 F10 which becomes Killara Rd. Proceed to junction with Yarraloch Way (a small concrete water tank stands on the corner) turn right and drive to the end. Park outside the gate into the Reserve. No toilets or facilities. Mobile phone reception unreliable.

12th Yarra Junction Library Bird Walk

Join Ken Simpson, our amazing bird man for a walk along the Warburton Trail from the old Seville Railway Station to the old Killara Railway Station and back. Meet at the old Seville Railway Station, Station Rd. Seville. Melways map 119 K8. Turn at the Seville round-about and follow the road.

Bring binoculars if you have them and a flask of hot water. Morning tea provided. Ken will distribute a bird list of what we hope to see.

It's really, really early so it's unlikely I'll be there but it sounds like a fantastic morning. I hope the trail is buzzing with wildlife.
