Calling all poets! Eastern Regional Libraries is playing host to a heat of the Australian Poetry Slam '09. You've got 2 minutes & a microphone to deliver your original poem, any way you like. Heat winners will compete in the state final at the State Library of Victoria on 12th November.

Anyone wanting to get in a bit of practice before the heat can turn up to one of 2 poetry open mic nights - Monday 17th Aug 7pm at Ringwood Library (Book on 98700177) & Monday 31st August 7pm at Belgrave (Book on 9754 7266).
In other poetry news we will have the entry forms for the National Poetry competition in the libraries and on the website by Friday 21st August.
